I had a ceased engine on my 320d and was faced with fix or scrap and the idea of losing £1000s oddly did not appeal 🤔 So rang around a load of places that managed to diagnose my car over the phone and wanted around £4000 for a rebuild. Came across London Car Solutions and started a chat via WhatsApp and booked the car in. The following day they phoned and explained the problems along with a clear video (broken oil pump). They listed the parts i required, clear easy pricing so no shock at the end. Car was back on the road inside a week and was running lovely. After the running in period i returned the car for them to do an oil change and check everything was grand. Now 3 years has passed and the work they carried out still stands. I couldn't be happier with not only the high standard of workmanship but the customer service especially from 'Jeff' and his team. I'm in need of more engine work (mystery oil leak suspected rocket cover) and have been given clear pricing of the works to be carried out. Fantastic from start to finish. These guys saved my N52 which had low compression on two cylinders. It was quickly stripped and diagnosed as piston ring and valve stem seal failure. They also uncovered some previous bodged repairs to pipes and a hole in the radiator, which I also got them to replace while they had the engine out, along with a new belt and VANOS solenoids. They undertook a complete rebuild including timing chain replacement, keeping me up to date with photos of what needed to be done and answering all of my questions quickly. When I came to collect the engine sounded so smooth I could hardly believe it was the same car, needless to say I was absolutely delighted. I had done a lot of research about where to get this job done and I am so glad I chose LCS. I will be taking the car back within 600 miles for an oil change and will update this review as necessary, but after putting some miles on the new engine already I feel very confident in the work that has been done. Massive thanks to the team! Update @ 600 miles - everything is still running perfectly, and I just took my car back to LCS for the recommended oil and filter change. This was completed quickly while I waited and I'm still very happy to recommend them. I was in a difficult situation with my 2014 fiesta timing belt - had the typical issues leading to engine failure. After getting quotes from local garages i was close to scrapping the car, but I stumbled across an ebay advert for this garage. It was over 300 miles away from my home so I was a little concerned but the customer service over ebay and whatsapp was good and so were reviews. Price was half of what i was quoted in cornwall. So happy I took the plunge and got it towed up. Within a couple of days I had photo updates which was really helpful and they gave advice around the clutch which was also nearly gone. They managed to fit a reconditioned engine in 2 days and held the car for me for a week to collect. On collection the garage is a short walk from the nearest station. Really friendly on arrival and even cleaned the car for me to drive away. Have now driven it for 650 miles and had it serviced at a ford garage with no issues.
